Tim Duncan is an NBA legend no matter what he decides to do from here on out as he's already put together an extremely impressive career during his time with the San Antonio Spurs.
While the franchise has yet to receive a firm decision from Duncan on his future, Buck Harvey of the San Antonio Express-News tucked a rather interesting note into the piece he wrote about the Spurs legend that was published on Wednesday.
The Spurs say they don’t know what Duncan is going to do, but they are guessing he will walk away. And if they are right, they will miss him for many reasons other than his refusal to exchange insults on the basketball court.
Duncan has until June 29 to accept or decline his $6.4 million player option. Even though things can always change, we should know whether he's retiring or coming back by then.
